MAC Lipstick Collection

Hey Everyone!

Today I am going to share with you my MAC lipstick collection. Mac is probably my go-to brand for lipstick. MAC has a lot of different finishes for their lipsticks. Essentially meaning some of them are shiny, shimmery, flat, creamy, very opaque, or very sheer. The finishes MAC offers are Matte, Retro Matte, Lustre, Glaze, Satin, Frost, Amplified Creme, Amplified, and Cremesheen. I personally love the Matte finish and the Satin finish. I own four Matte lipsticks, five Satin lipsticks, two Cremesheen lipsticks, two Frost lipsticks, two Amplified lipsticks, and one Retro Matte lipstick. Let's move on to the pictures!

January Beauty Favorites!

Hey Everyone!

Today I am going to be sharing with you guys beauty products that I have been loving this month! Let's jump right in!

1. The Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. If you follow my Instagram you know I love this palette! I would say that this is quickly becoming one of my favorite palettes that I own! High recommend!

2. The Profusion 36 Color Palette. This palette is absolutely amazing for the $5.99 price tag. I have had this for about a year and yesterday was my first time even dipping a brush into it. Yes, I have only used it once, but with the job it did and considering it is so affordable I HAD to throw it in my favorites!

3. The Urban Decay Naked palette. I am almost positive all of you either know of or own this palette. So because of that, I am not going to go into too much detail. It is nothing new or exciting, but it is my go to palette for simple, everyday eye looks. LOVE!

4. Mac's Tan Pigment. This pigment is one word.. GORGEOUS!!! So easy to work with, beautiful on everyone, just all around amazing. It is a must-have!

5. Benefit Boing Concealer. This concealer is full coverage, creamy, and it stays all day! Benefit describes this concealer as an "industrial strength" concealer, and I would have to agree!

6. The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. After using this sponge, I came to the conclusion that there is no reason AT ALL to spend $20 on a Beauty Blender when you can spend $5 and get the same exact thing. Honestly, I might even like this sponge a little better! YAY!

7. Mac Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Superb. YAAAAAS! lol. This came out with Mac's most recent collection Magnetic Nudes, so I am not sure if you can still get your hands on this.. but if you can, GET IT! This is the most gorgeous highlight. I feel like it would be amazing on pretty much any skin tone. It is FLAWLESS.

8. Mac Fix +. Most of you know what this is. If not, It can be used as a finishing spray and also use it to wet your brush so pigments and baked eyeshadows are vibrant and full coverage. As I said earlier I have been loving Tan pigment by Mac and this is what I use on my brush to apply it. I also used it with the Profusion palette and the shadows came out beautifully.

9. Mac's Snob Lipstick. This and Angel (also by Mac) are my go to lipsticks. This month I have found myself reaching for Snob almost everyday. It is a beautiful mauvey baby pink color with blue undertones. You can wear it with just about any look and it will look stunning.

10. Mac's Nightmoth Lip Pencil. I love this underneath lipsticks (Mac's Darkside, Cyber, Ruby Woo) or just by itself! Nightmoth is a deep, vampy plum color. If you love rocking vampy lips, Nightmoth is for you!

11. Shiseido Urban Enviroment U.V. Protection Cream. A.K.A. sunscreen. lol. Boring, but sunscreen is an important step in our morning routines that a lot of us forget. I recommend this one because it doesn't leave my skin feeling oily or greasy. Also it is SPF 40 & water resistant.

12. Nars Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base. Love. It is like super glue for you eyeshadows. (in a good way lol) I recommend this to anyone who is like that me that has extremely oily eyelids and everything smudges on you. This works wonders. I only have the sample size but I will for sure be purchasing the full size when this runs out!

13. Maybelline Vivids Lipstick. This line of lipsticks is my favorite from the drugstore. I love the entire line and own all of them! They are smooth, creamy, pigmented, and they stay on! I would say they are some of my favorite lipsticks of all time. Also, I have been displaying them in an old Bath and Body Works candle jar and I LOVE it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post. It means the world to me!! Leave a comment below telling me some of your monthly favorites so I can try out some new things!

Mini review and tutorial: Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette!

My Thoughts

Today is going to be a mini review and tutorial on the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette! My first impression of this palette was that it was absolutely gorgeous. It smells like chocolate so that was definitely a plus in my book! (; The colors are ALL beautiful and the pigmentation of most of them is phenomenal. The shadows for the most part have a super soft and creamy texture. 1.White Chocolate, 2.Marzipan, 3.Cherry Cordial, 4.Crème Brulee, and 5.Salted Carmel are my favorite shadows from this palette, so that is why I featured ALL of them in my look.

There only two shadows in this entire palette that I don't like. 1. Strawberry Bon Bon and 2. Candied Violet. Strawberry Bon Bon looks beautiful in the pan, but when I swatch it its extremely crumbly, has a ton of fall out, and it has barely any pigmentation. Candied Violet also has those same problems. A ton of fall out and just not as pretty swatched as in the pan.

My Look

I started out with 1. White Chocolate to highlight the brow bone and also swept it all over the lid. Next, I took 2. Marzipan and put it in the inner corner and also all over the lid. I took 3. Cherry Cordial and placed it in the outer corner, blended it into the crease, and onto the lid. 4. Crème Brulee is also in the inner corner, and blended out on top of 3. Cherry Cordial on the lid. To blend out the crease, and everything together I used 5. Salted Carmel. I also took 3. Cherry Cordial and 4. Crème Brulee and blended them on the lower lash line.

Conclusion

I love this palette! Out of 16 shadows in the palette, only two of them were misses for me! I would recommend this palette to everyone. It smells great, amazing pigmentation, and the shadows blend like a dream. Good job with this one Too Faced!
